Our Mission:

To assist all students to grow academically, personally, socially and vocationally.

Our Philosophy:

The Lyme-Old Lyme High School Counseling Department strives to implement and maintain a developmental guidance program that is based on The Connecticut Comprehensive School Counseling Program created by the Connecticut School Counselor Association, Connecticut Association for Counselor Education and Supervision, and the Connecticut State Department of Education. This is based on the belief that all students develop through stages sequentially toward self-understanding and enhancement.

We work to maintain and improve this program and its delivery, support and enhance student learning and success and impact students in three broad content areas:

  • academic development,

  • career development and

  • personal/social development.

Challenging * Achieving * Excelling
