Lyme-Old Lyme Elementary Schools combine academic and social development curricula to help all students succeed in school and in life. We strive to develop confident, excited and independent learners who seek knowledge, communicate effectively, embrace effort, act thoughtfully, and commit to the common good in a global society.
In partnership with families, caring and talented educators dedicate themselves to enhancing the opportunity for kindergarten through fifth grade students to master the reading process. The acquisition of mathematical skills and concepts is fostered through developmentally appropriate, hands-on experiences and challenges that promote critical thinking and problem solving. Science instruction capitalizes on the natural curiosity of a child. Music, art and movement are artfully interwoven into the day, celebrating cultural diversity and creating a window to the world.
