District Testing Profile
Lyme-Old Lyme Schools participate in required state testing for English Language Arts, Mathematics, and Science. The district uses the state results as one data point to evaluate the effectiveness of curriculum implementation, teaching and learning. Results are also one data point used in academic decision making for students. Our students continually score at high levels on the state required assessments which has resulted in Lyme Consolidated Elementary School, Mile Creek Elementary School, and Lyme-Old Lyme High School to be recognized in the top category as a Connecticut School of Distinction by the Connecticut State Department of Education Performance Office. We proudly started the Seal of Biliteracy Assessment process in 2018 where any student wishing to earn the Seal of Biliteracy before graduation has the opportunity to demonstrate proficiency.
